PLEASE READ THESE TERMS OF SERVICE CAREFULLY. THEY CONTAIN IMPORTANT INFORMATION THAT AFFECTS YOUR RIGHTS, REMEDIES, AND OBLIGATIONS. THEY INCLUDE AN AGREEMENT TO ARBITRATE (UNLESS YOU OPT OUT). THESE TERMS ALSO INCLUDE A PROHIBITION OF CLASS AND REPRESENTATIVE ACTIONS AND NON-INDIVIDUALIZED RELIEF FOR ALL MATTERS IN EITHER COURT OR ARBITRATION, VARIOUS LIMITATIONS AND EXCLUSIONS, A CLAUSE THAT GOVERNS THE JURISDICTION, VENUE, AND GOVERNING LAW OF DISPUTES, EXCEPT WHERE PROHIBITED, AND OBLIGATIONS TO COMPLY WITH APPLICABLE LAWS AND REGULATIONS.
Customers should cancel reservations as soon as possible if their plans change. Cancellation terms may vary depending on vehicle type, rental dates, rental duration, special promotions, prepaid rates, and reservation-specific terms. Any cancellation fee applicable to a reservation will be disclosed before booking confirmation.
If a reservation is prepaid, cancellation and refund eligibility will be governed by the conditions disclosed at booking. Certain prepaid amounts may be non-refundable only when clearly disclosed and permitted by applicable law.
A customer who fails to arrive within the applicable pickup period and does not contact J&O Auto Rentals may be considered a no-show. J&O Auto Rentals may release the reserved vehicle to another customer. Any no-show charge will be subject to the terms disclosed at booking and applicable law.
Customers who expect to arrive late should contact J&O Auto Rentals. We cannot guarantee that a vehicle will remain available indefinitely after the scheduled pickup time.
Returning a vehicle before the scheduled return date does not automatically guarantee a refund. If an early return changes the conditions or duration of the rental, the applicable rate may be recalculated as permitted by the Rental Agreement.
Customers wishing to keep a vehicle beyond the scheduled return time must contact J&O Auto Rentals and obtain approval. Additional charges may apply. An extension is not guaranteed and is subject to vehicle availability and approval.
Approved refunds will generally be issued to the original payment method. Processing times vary depending on the customer's bank, card issuer, or payment provider. J&O Auto Rentals does not control how long a financial institution takes to post an approved refund.
An authorization hold is different from a refund. After J&O Auto Rentals releases an eligible authorization hold, the customer's bank determines when the funds become available. Applicable Massachusetts restrictions concerning damage-related deposits will be followed.
If J&O Auto Rentals cannot provide a vehicle for a confirmed reservation, we may attempt to provide another suitable vehicle, reschedule the reservation, or refund eligible prepaid rental amounts. The appropriate remedy will depend on the circumstances and applicable law.
