Card payments are processed by Stripe. Your card number never reaches our servers and we never store it. See Stripe's privacy policy at stripe.com/privacy.
Licence photographs are stored outside the public website directory and are not reachable by any public URL. They can only be viewed by an authenticated administrator. Uploads are restricted by file type and size.
When booking you explicitly consent to receive SMS messages about reservations, updates and customer service, and email communications from us. You can withdraw consent at any time by replying STOP to a text message or contacting us by email.
We do not sell your personal data. We share it only with service providers needed to run the service — Stripe (payments), our hosting provider, and, where required, law enforcement or insurers in connection with traffic offences, accidents or damage claims.
We keep booking records for as long as needed for tax, accounting and legal purposes. Driver's licence images are deleted when the booking record is deleted. You may request earlier deletion (see below).
You may request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal data, and may object to marketing communications. Write to us at support@joautorentals.com and we will respond within 30 days. Massachusetts and other applicable law may give you additional rights.
We use only strictly necessary cookies: a session cookie to keep you logged in and to protect forms against cross-site request forgery, and a cookie remembering your chosen language and light/dark theme. We do not use advertising or third-party tracking cookies.
